Care of Steel

Each buckle is finished with many layers of wax sealant but if left unworn or in a damp area, it may begin to rust a bit over time.  If this happens, simply buff and add a layer of wax or oil.  Waxes and oils that work well are furniture wax, mineral or linseed oil, or even Burt’s Bee’s chap stick or salve.  If worn regularly, the oil of a person’s hands is enough to protect it forever.
