Why non-leather?

Going green has come into style.   This “green” style also reflects the long time lifestyle of the founders at the company and reflects the mission of Buncombe Buckles.  Buncombe Buckles products have always been made with recycled steel and found parts and so when we arrived at the challenge of picking out a belt as an option for our customers, we did a lot of research. 

From our research, we found that the environmental impact of leather tanning and industrial cattle farming, did not fit with the ethics of our company.  Instead, we found composite synthetic snap belts that are completely vegan.  They are stout, flexible and come in great colors along with the reliable standards.  We think they are the perfect belt for vegans and non-vegans alike.
